Tribute to Bruno Mennens, 1941 - 2026
Our much-loved dining secretary, Bruno, sadly crossed the bar on his final journey early in the morning on March 18 at Ipswich Hospital after a short illness.
The funeral service will be at the Seven Hills Crematorium at Nacton, Ipswich, on Wednesday 22 April at 12:45. Following the funeral service, members and friends are invited by his widow Irene to the wake which will be held at the Felixstowe Ferry Sailing Club, Felixstowe, IP11 9RZ.

Later, Bruno was conscripted into military service for three and a half years during the regional conflict in the then Dutch Protectorate of New Guinea.
Back in civilian life, he worked for an oil major in supply, storage, and distribution, followed by an operational position within Europe, UK and the Middle East with both a Northern European ship owner and a local state port
operator.
